Emcy Joseph, a filmmaker, writer/author, and the Founder-Director of Peraka Media, is a highly esteemed figure in the show-biz industry. He kick-started his career as a young advertising filmmaker at Britelite – Vinverth Group when he served as the Creative Director in Dubai Media City. The master brain behind hundreds of advertising films for pan-Indian and international brands, Emcy Joseph’s filmography boasts of his personal signature and distinct storytelling ability, which infuses creative and innovative concepts and speaks to the audience on a personal level, leaving them yearning for more. An avid enthusiast of films, his love for passion and beauty in chaos, as well as for anecdotes from real-life experiences and events, is reflective in his work, be it his advertisements, short films, or music videos. Emcy’s directorial debut in the feature film Vikruthi(2019) is the result of and a testament to his diligent work ethic and passion for the craft. An emotional drama, Vikruthi was a well-received, critically acclaimed movie with the lead actor, Suraj Venjaramoodu, winning the 2020 Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actor. His creative roles include music composition, editing, playback singing, and much more.
